MLDesigner is a multi-domain system design and simulation environment for model-based systems engineering, process development and optimization. It uses an integrated design environment with graphical and textual editors to create models with hierarchical block diagrams, hierarchical state machines or programming language-based components. Using MLDesigner in combination with a versatile model-based design process can help to minimize the overall risk and cost for the development of any product and process.
MLDesigner can be used to create executable specifications and virtual prototypes and supports the design, validation, verification, test and evaluation of complex dynamic and hybrid systems, including system-of-systems, and can be used at any stage of the product life cycle (PLC). From requirement analysis through concept development, specification, implementation and entry into service, MLDesigner is capable to integrate the design of mission / operational models, function, architecture as well as performance models.
MLDesigner can be used with most development process models and design paradigms, including iterative and phase-oriented models (e.g., the V-Model) or agile development solutions (e.g., SCRUM) with top-down, bottom-up, and middle-out oriented design approaches. It can be coupled with external tools and supports source code generation as well as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Customizable libraries with several thousands of predefined components, examples, and solvers in combination with data, model, and parameter editors can be used to create plug-and-play capable domain specific models. MLDesigner elevates and accelerates today's system design methodology by providing a reliable simulation environment to enhance the predictability, productivity, and quality of the entire development process, and the product/system integration.
